Can I talk about my kiddo for a moment?

He's doing great in preschool!

This is him sitting on his spot.

We had "parent-teacher" conferences last week. He's doing so well at school. He is one of the youngest in the class (mid-September birthday, about 16 days after the official cutoff but the school agreed to put him in the older-3's class because we want him to start kindergarten in the 09-10 school year). His teacher said he's very well behaved and in tune with his feelings. She gave us an assessment of areas and he was only lacking in 5 things: cutting with scissors, hopping up and down while standing on one foot, knowledge of days of the week and months of the year, and knowledge of community helpers (which is interesting considering a work for the fire department). He writes in upper case letters very well and she's working with him to get him using lower case. So I'm working on that with him too. He was tested on all his letters and he only got two mixed up, lower case b, he said it was a d. And lower case q, he said it was a g.

The teacher said he will be more than ready for Pre-k in the fall! She enjoys having him in class and wishes he was there more than two days, she says he is just thriving. :-)

In February his class's projects were on the front board when you walk in. The teacher asked each child "What is Love?" Zander's reply was "LOVELY", and that was hung with our pictures on the display.

Zander is sitting next to me and he wanted me to write "I LOVE SWEET POTATOES" (his favorite restaurant is Sweet Tomatoes). Oh and his other one is Rainforest Cafe. He's making me write this, lol.

I'm proud of him!
