"how you doing it? ya doing it good?"

I love Zanderisms. He's such a cool talker.
"Happy Holidays Mama. Happy Holidays Dada".
"That's a great idea!"
"Oh my shoot!"
"Love you Mama, Love you Dada".

Most of the time if you ask what he wants for Christmas he says "Santa bring me a orange present." And then he'll say he wants "Santa bring me a Thomas Doodle".

Thursday night we were listening to Christmas songs on Sirius in the car. Jingle Bells came on, and that's his song, he knows it and sings it. This was Barry Manilow's Jingle Bells though - and it was a different style so Zander just listened. When it got to "over the hills we go, lauging all the way" he let out a little wimper, put on his sad face and said "No HA HA HA!"

We went to McCormick Ranch Train Park to ride the train tonight. He loved it! He loved watching the models, walking around, checking out the lights and of course, the train ride.

Us on the Train

My arm is too short to get all of us in a picture. (there was something wrong with Zan's eye here but he's better now)

Santa & light display

Then we had pizza at Grimaldi's in Scottsdale........yum! Best pizza ever!
Zander played with some dough.

And here's a bunch of pics I took of him hamming it up the other night, he was eating grapes on the counter in the kitchen.

busy!

We had a busy weekend. Saturday and Sunday we went shopping at a mall with my mom! Yes, we are crazy. Zander was great both days.

On Saturday we went to Mills because my mom wanted to take Zander to Rainforest Cafe for lunch. He was way into it this time, he loved all the animals. Just a few months ago, on his birthday, he was crying he wanted to leave when the 'storm' would happnen and the animals made all their noises.

Then we went to a cookie exchange party with our playgroup at a friends house. They had a giant box of trains which Zander went nuts over! He enjoys trains so much.

Then we went home, Zander ate a snack and we got Doug. We went up to the Target by our house because they were having a Toys for Tots fundraiser with the fire department (my work!). We brought 3 new toys to donate and got to ride the fire trucks! The first time we rode all 3 of us rode in the back of the cab. The second time Zander and I rode in the front! It was so fun. There was 5 trucks there with lights and sirens on cruising all around the buys parking lot, even going over in front of the movie theater and other stores. Zander really enjoyed it. I talked to people from work. Zander got lots of compliments on his firefighter jacket and he sat on Santa's lap.

Then we went over to Doug's parents house where his mom was having a Christmas party for coworkers. Doug's grandparents were there. Zander loves Maw & Paw so much. He sat with them eating nuts out of a basket, he danced for them and talked with them. It was so cute.

Zan out front of my parents house, he loves their light up deer.

Scrapping

It's been over a month since I've scrapped. I've just been so busy. But I think it's been 2 months since I've posted any of my pages here, so now I will. :-)

and now that I look at this I realize we bought 2 cars this year! A 65 Falcon Wagon and a 70 Suburban. wow!

Pics from the last week.

I found Zander sleepng like this the other night, too cute!

Zander helping decorate the tree at my parents house. For some reason he was really into that piece of foam.

That's a Pluto ornament that's probably as old as I am! It's missing it's eyes, Zander didn't care he though the ornaments were cool.

Zander helping Poppa decorate. My parents are the parents who keep every ornament from your children's childhood, including the ones we made. Right above my Dad's head there is a string of popcorn I made in 1st grade, Christian school. It has a cross, an angel, a tree and a bell made out of construction paper the I drew on and decorated with glitter. 1st grade! I can't believe it's survived, we put it on the tree every year.

Zander with our snowman.

Zander accesorized himself before our trip to Scottsdale Fashion Square on Wednesday. I didn't let him wear the canteen to the mall ;-)

After checking out PBK and playing with the train table we headed next door to PB Loco for lunch. The PB stands for peanut butter! Zander was such a good kid during lunch!

Zander looked so cute and I was going to get his picture taken with Santa but he was COVERED in peanut butter. I mean, he dipped his sleeves in it!

Zander loved this sampler and the different peanut butter flavors. He even liked the Asian curry spice peanut butter! I managed to clean him up and roll up his peanut butter sleeves after we were done.

Visisting with Santa. Zander was nervous but he did really well. He told Santa his name and Santa asked if he had been a good boy, Zander said yes. Zander asked for a Thomas "Doodle" (aquadoodle). My mom has Zander all wrapped up in Santa ;-)

He smiled so cute for his picture!

Vacation photos!

Knott's Berry Farm

Colby & Zander

That's me, Colby & Marty on the right. That ride was high! Doug took the picture ;-)

They have a really good restaurant and I like my b&w pics with the lighting.

Zander liked the bread and butter.

And milk in a cool Snoopy cup.

I'm being stealth here and getting pics of my mom, she hates getting her picture taken.

Disneyland

Watching the teacups. We got Zander one of those harness things because he loves to walk. He liked the backpack but was mad when I used the "leash" part. Can't blame him. I know those seem wrong but my kid bolts from me all the time. Thankfully it wasn't crowded so we let him walk, or he was carried. So the backpack lasted like 15 minutes.

I don't know this guys name but I'm guessing he's a relative of Goofy

Us with Santa, I like this one. I have to buy it from the Disney photopass site.

Doug & Zan. Oh, it was REALLY COLD & WINDY on Wednesday.

My family minus Mike & Lindsey, I don't know where they were then.

Love this one! That's Sully, right? He had the longest arms!

Zander was teething really bad so he chewed on Donald Duck's beak.

Tow Mater! So excited to see him!

Lighting McQueen. These pics are kinda cropped weird because I was trying not to get the kids that wouldn't stop mobbing the cars in the pic, lol.

It's A Small World

I'm sure I'll get more pics from everyone elses cameras too. It was a good time. It was my entire family and my brother's wife Lindsey's family.

*Zander rode It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion(2x), Pirates of the Carribean, Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinnochio, Mr. Toads, Buzz Lightyear, and the Monster's Inc. ride. He did really well.
*We stayed at the park from open to close each day, 10 am to 8 pm. I took Zander to the nursing room and nursed him to sleep each day for naptime and then put him in the stroller. He napped only an hour the first day but he napped 2.5 hours on the second day!
*Going in the off season is awesome. We loved the Christmas decor. Zander loved the parade, which was also Christmas-y.
*There were no fireworks the second night because of the wind.
*I didn't ride any water rides because it was freezing but Doug and my sib's rode Splash and the Rapids ride. They were all soked afterwards, no thanks.
*The coaster at California Adventure is pretty cool but I don't think I'll ride the Farris Wheel again (the carts slide, it's freaky). Soaring Over California was really neat. Loved the Tower of Terror (we've done the one at Disneyworld, which is actually better, before).
*For some reason Wednedsay at Disneyland was way busier then Tuesday. But still, no way as busy as peak-season. A captain I work with went on Thanksgiving day and he said it was so packed. I'm glad we went when it wasn't packed, especially with the little ones.

The roller coasters at Knott's were pretty cool, we loved Ghostrider! And I loved the Xcellerator! Knott's was dead, we were only there for less than 3 hours and we did everything we want. It was free for me and Doug and my parents and Marty & Colby only paid $11 ea to get in. So it was worth it for just a few hours. I'd probably only go back if it was during Public Safety days and FREE. Some of their coasters were really cool though!

We had a very fun time - thanks Mom & Dad!!
