Swim lessons!

Zander has done so good at swim lessons this year! Doug and Zander swim at least 2 or 3 times a week too. Zander is jumping off the diving board and swimming all over the pool without a floaty! It's awesome!



Zander was in Level 1 for June and is moving up to Level 2 for July!

Zander completed Hooked on Phonics Kindergarten Reading! He's reading simple readers now, it's awesome!

The Natural History Museum in Mesa is one of Zander's favorite destinations. He was excited to bring cousin Madison along for a visit.

AZ Science Center

We went to the AZ Science Center with Becky & Chase. There was a Lego exhibit in addition to the normal science center exhibits.

Ceretta's Chocolate Factory!

I took Zander to Ceretta's Chocolate Factory in Glendale for a PBS promotion to see "Sid the Science Kid". Ceretta's is in Glendale right across Daddy's work.




It smelled really good in there! Zander doesn't like chocolate (or most candy) so he wasn't overly impressed. But I think he still liked seeing an actual chocolate factory.

He's IN!

Got this in the mail yesterday.

Dear DH Parent,

Enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year is proceeding very well. This letter is to confirm your child has been placed on a Kindergarten roster for the upcoming school year.

Wahoo! He's IN! The letter goes on to ask parents who are not sending their kids to DH to contact the school because they are approaching waiting list mode.

So he's in! He starts kindergarten in 7 weeks! No more "what ifs." I can write all the school holidays and half days on my calendar so I can plan ahead. YAY!

I'm so excited for Zander!

Starry Safari

We recently went to the zoo for the first Starry Safari night for members and their guests only! It's one of the best events to go to because almost everything is free! Zander and I got to feed the giraffes, they like Rye Crisp crackers!



The lions and tigers were up and about which was neat, they are usually sleeping during the day. There were bounce houses and splash pads for playing!

Phoenix Police Museum

We visited the Phoenix Police Museum downtown.

Soccer! Spring 2009.

Zander played "Kicks for Kids" soccer through the city this year. He did this class once when he was about 2 and a half years old and he wasn't quite ready then. He was into soccer this time! It's a good class that just teaches skills, not games, which is just what Zander needed this year. The coach was great, too!
