We went to Desert Ridge Marketplace to have dinner at Dave & Busters with Doug's family. After dinner we let Zander play on the playground then we heard music playing. So we went and watched this band called Avenue A from LA. Zander LOVED them. He danced the entire time for 2 sets! People were watching and clapping for him. After the show was over all these people came over to talk to Zander! They were asking if he played music and saying we needed to get a guitar in his land, lol. These ladies were like "You should get that boy on Leno!"
The band was super nice and when they were done the drummer threw out his sticks and one rolled right in front of Zander. Zander tried to give it back to him but he told Zan he could have it. Then they had 2 free cds left and someone else got them so he almost cried. He said to me "I would rather have a cd than a drumstick" (he has drumsticks already). I told him I'd download their songs for him to hear.
The One Who Knows by Dar Williams Time it was I had a dream And you're that dream come true. If I had the world to give I'd give it all to you. I'll take you to the mountains, I will take you to the sea. I'll show you how this life became a miracle to me.
You'll fly away, but take my hand until that day. So when they ask how far love goes When my job's done you'll be the one who knows.
All the things you treasure most will be the hardest won. I will watch you struggle long before the answers come. But I won't make it harder, I'll be there to cheer you on. I'll shine the light that guides you down The road you're walking on.
You'll fly away, but take my hand until that day. So when they ask how far love goes When my job's done you'll be the one who knows.
Before the mountains call to you, before you leave this home, Wanna teach your heart to trust As I will teach my own. But sometimes I will ask the moon Where it shined upon you last And shake my head and laugh and say It all went by so fast.
You'll fly away, but take my hand until that day. So when they ask how far love goes When my job's done you'll be the one who knows.
not my normal type of music but made me get teary eyed.
Zander did this amazing job on Beast from Maggie & the Ferocious Beast. I helped color in the yellow, cuz that was hard he said. But he did everything else!
