Zan in the car
We tried to go to Legoland first, but when we got there we were told it was closed due to the rain. So we drove about 35 minutes back South and had lunch. By the time we got to our room and changed our clothes it was sunny. So our plans to be at the beach on Monday were switched but it turned out to be a good thing.
Why is it so hard to get a good picture of me and my kid?
Sand Castle
Totally wet. We played in the water for a while, it was so fun.
Zander wrote his name without any prompting.
He then wrote "Dad". And after that wrote Kyra, Anna and Guatam - kids in his class, lol.
The best part of sand castles - crashing them!

Monday Morning
We tried to go to the pier Sunday night but it was closed. It was still closed in the morning due to these intense waves. SO it ended up working out because the beach wouldn't have been a good idea on Monday.
Newsworthy waves. All the news crews were filming in the morning. We even watched one live interview on the beach from our balcony and on TV, it was kinda neat!

Strong but choppy waves, no one was surfing.
Yeah, he's huge.
While we were at the cliffs/tidepools the waves were huge. This guy got totally soaked so we stayed in as much as possible.
