Fall Vacation

We went to the beach!
Doug and I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain
Zander and my parents went to Universal Studios
And then we all went to Six Flags Magic Mountain together.
Then we went to Hollywood!

It was a blast! The highlights for Zander were the Waterwold Stunt Show and the Amazing Pets Show at Universal Studios. And he also loved riding THOMAS THE TRAIN, The Batman stunt show, meeting Batman, and the bumper cars at Magic Mountain.

I thoroughly enjoyed riding all the extreme rides at Magic Mountain. It's my favorite place to go!

Welcome to Legoland, where we make everything out of Legos!

The Safari Trek ride was our first of the day. It was cute.

*hugs Thomas*

Tries to break Spongebob's nose off. I kid.

RAWR

I'm thinking I might hang this up in my office (I work at the Fire Training Academy).

Zander hugged all the Lego people.

Doug got fresh with a few of them.

Zander rode this ride 3 times, he loved it!

They have this mini-world where they make everything out of Legos. This is NY.

Vegas!

The mini Treasure Island had explosions and stuff!

This guy was cool looking.

Zander loves Bob.

and Thomas.

He battled the Dark Side.

and met R2D2.

a week ago - Ocean Beach picture post

Zan in the car

We tried to go to Legoland first, but when we got there we were told it was closed due to the rain. So we drove about 35 minutes back South and had lunch. By the time we got to our room and changed our clothes it was sunny. So our plans to be at the beach on Monday were switched but it turned out to be a good thing.

Why is it so hard to get a good picture of me and my kid?

Sand Castle

Totally wet. We played in the water for a while, it was so fun.

Zander wrote his name without any prompting.

He then wrote "Dad". And after that wrote Kyra, Anna and Guatam - kids in his class, lol.

The best part of sand castles - crashing them!

He got cold.

Monday Morning

We tried to go to the pier Sunday night but it was closed. It was still closed in the morning due to these intense waves. SO it ended up working out because the beach wouldn't have been a good idea on Monday.

Newsworthy waves. All the news crews were filming in the morning. We even watched one live interview on the beach from our balcony and on TV, it was kinda neat!

Not happy with the sun in his eyes.

There, that's better!

Strong but choppy waves, no one was surfing.

Yeah, he's huge.

While we were at the cliffs/tidepools the waves were huge. This guy got totally soaked so we stayed in as much as possible.

Zander took this one.

I like this one.

On our balcony, awesome beach view!

Attempt at a self pic.

There is more on my flickr. :-)
